Things to consider

One of the factions you go up against for the main majority of the game is Sotoa, a fictional country. However this country is heavily based on middle eastern countries and culture including talks of heading to the promised land after death and how dying in battle is an honor. The entire planet this game is set on is fictional but it's clear the made up countries are still inspired from real world countries.
Thankfully the game treats war as a bad thing where terrible accidents happen and innocent people get caught in the crossfire. However it doesnt say defending yourself is bad like some other games out there that paint any type of conflict as bad and both sides should be blamed. It acknowledges that sometimes you have to fight a war that you don't want to so you can protect the people you care for and that it will not be easy or pretty.

The game itself is a love letter to aviation, and while it is not a simulator, it is clear that the developers want to showcase how much they enjoy the concept of fun fights. So while they have some pretty heavy handed themes inside about war and death and fighting for peace, they also have some awesome fights that make you feel like an ace pilot from top gun.

It's like combining the story and theme of Top Gun and the theatrics from a play and putting them together. Everything is over the top but done in a fun way that can still hit you in the gut with what it is trying to get across.

For anybody in highschool and older I would say this a great game to play and have a discussion about with others. It can be a great conversation starter for morality, war and defending yourself.
