Things to consider
This game is massive, both in its content and the area which you play in. You can play completely solo or in an online setting. There is a hub that allows you to see other people, but the interactions are limited. People can do text chat and some voice chat but the interactions are very sparse. Outside of the Hub, it is extremely rare to run into another person due to how huge the game is. Meaning if you don't want to run into players, its very easy to avoid them, or you could just play in offline mode.
This game is great because not only is it safe for everyone to play, but it also has creative building elements that help exercise our creative side. Players can craft huge bases, race tracks, and huge ships. It also shows off the beauty of space exploration with different types of star systems. These star systems can have multiple suns, or different color suns, they can have beautiful planets or barren planets. There is always something to go do or explore in this game.
Every DLC that comes out for this game is free, meaning once you buy the game you are set for life. In fact it probably isn't even fair to call it dlc as it's treated as updates to the game. There is no store front, no cosmetic shop. Everything is included in the base game. You want to look cool, you have to go out and find that cosmetic, or earn it. You want to play the new content? Just go unlock it in the tech tree or play the new event around it. There is no fast pass here with money, just good old fashioned reward for playing. And that is how it should be.
